| For coffee in Toowoomba I rate Metro a 10 out of 10! Metro is funky minimalist at 15 Railway St. - (opposite the station) and although open early morning you have to elbow past all the cyclists who are on to it, particularly on a weekend. Lancaster's Antiques a couple of doors up is worth checking out too. The owner of Metro, Maree Streidl is good value and the staff are relaxed and accommodating. She will happily take phone ahead coffee orders and I stress again, Great Coffee. Do try. Ph. 4632 0090. I haven't eaten a meal there but the cakes are delicious! Added Nov. 2006 |
